The Actions dropdown is accessible from the Search Members results table. Each member record includes an Actions menu that provides direct access to essential account management functions.

The Search Members results list in the admin with the Actions menu open on the first member's row.

Actions Dropdown - Available Options

The Actions menu contains the following options for each member record:

  • Account Details
  • View Live Profile
  • Quick Edit
  • Login as Member
  • Compose Email
  • Payment History
  • Update Credit Card
  • Change Password
  • Delete Account
  • Clone Account

Payment History and Update Credit Card are only listed for admins whose role has access to billing history. Update Credit Card is only listed when the website's payment gateway accepts card details directly.

Account Details

Selecting this option displays a structured account overview for the selected member, including key profile and account-level information.

View Live Profile

Selecting this option opens the member's live public-facing profile in a new browser tab, as it appears on the front end of the site. This allows administrators to verify how the profile is currently rendered for visitors.

When the member's account status is not Active, or the member is on a membership plan that is not searchable, the profile still opens in full for the administrator, map included, under a yellow Admin preview banner. There is no need to activate the member first and deactivate them again afterwards: viewing the profile does not change the member's account status.

An inactive member's live profile opened by an admin, with the yellow Admin preview banner above the full profile.

The banner reads: Admin preview: this member is not active or their membership plan is not searchable, so visitors see a "profile inactive" notice instead of this page.

Visitors still see the not-available notice on that same page instead of the profile:

The same profile seen by a visitor, showing the Sorry, this Listing is not Public or Active notice instead of the profile.

The admin preview depends on the front-end admin session that opening the website from the admin sets, which View Live Profile does automatically. When the Members Only add-on restricts member profiles to logged-in members, or when the same browser is also logged in as a member whose plan cannot view this member's plan, those access rules still apply first and are shown instead of the preview.

Quick Edit

Selecting this option opens the Quick Edit module, which allows direct updates to member information without navigating away from the Search Members screen.

The Quick Edit window open over Search Members on the Account Details tab, with account status and membership plan fields.

Login as Member

Selecting this option opens the selected member's dashboard in a new browser tab, logged in as that member. This is used for troubleshooting or verification of member-level permissions and visibility.

The member dashboard opened through Login as Member, with the header showing the site signed in as that member.

Compose Email

Selecting this option opens the Compose Email module. The selected member's email address is auto-populated in the recipient field. A message can then be drafted and sent directly from within the dashboard.

Payment History

Selecting this option opens the Transactions tab of the selected member's account in a new browser tab, displaying a record of financial activity associated with that account.

The member's account opened on the Transactions tab, showing payments received, upcoming, past due, refunded and stopped totals.

Update Credit Card

Selecting this option opens a form to add or update the credit card on file for the selected member. It is only listed when the website's payment gateway accepts card details directly.

Change Password

Selecting this option opens the Change Member's Password module, where a new password can be assigned to the selected member account.

Delete Account

Selecting this option opens the Delete Member confirmation before any data is removed. The following options must be set before the deletion is finalized with Yes, continue:

The Delete Member confirmation with its four numbered options: delete the member, delete images and files, delete posts, and reassign posts.

  1. Delete [member name]? - Confirms the permanent removal of the member account.
  2. Delete member profile images & files? - Determines whether all images and files attached to the member record are also removed.
  3. Delete member posts? - Removes all content posts published by the member.
  4. Reassign posts to another member - If posts are not being deleted, this option transfers them to a designated existing member.

⚠ CRITICAL CAUTION — Irreversible Action: Member deletion is permanent. All four options in the confirmation must be deliberately reviewed before proceeding. Failure to set the post reassignment option when posts are retained may result in orphaned content.

Clone Account

Selecting this option asks for confirmation, then creates a duplicate of the selected member account. The following profile data is carried over to the cloned account:

  • Contact Details
  • Additional Details
  • Profile Photo, Logo, and Cover Photo
  • About Me

The Clone Account confirmation asking whether to clone this member, with Yes, continue and No, cancel buttons.

⚠ CRITICAL CAUTION — Billing Data Is Not Cloned: Billing information is excluded from the cloning process. Each cloned member account requires a new subscription to be created separately in order to properly associate credit card and payment details with the new account.
