New Features:


  • Released a new UI for the Account Dashboard page in the Admin.

  • Released a new feature called “Add Event to Calendar”. This allows users to add an event post to popular calendar platforms like Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar.

  • Released a new Brilliant Directories API endpoint, /user/subscriptions. This endpoint can be used to return information about member subscriptions.

  • Added a new Advanced Setting called “Enable Spam Detection for Chat Messages”. Enabling this applies the Spam Form Protector Add-On to the messages sent in the Private Member Chat Add-On.

  • Added a new Advanced Setting called “Disable Screenshot Previews” to control whether website screenshot previews are displayed across the Admin.

  • Created a new set of Post Comment settings called “Allow Users to Edit Their Comments” and “Allow Users to Delete Their Comments”, along with corresponding time-limit fields (set in days) to allow members to edit and delete post comments on the frontend of the site.


Enhancements / Fixes: 


  • Fixed an issue that prevented the dynamic category search checkbox options from working properly on search results pages when the Dynamic Category Filtering Add-On was active in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the /user/update API endpoint from updating member images when submitted in some cases.

  • Updated the Most Viewed Profiles, Most Viewed Posts, and Visitor Activity Last Month date filters to use the calendar month instead of calculating the previous 30 days on the Admin Dashboard.

  • Updated the Activity Tracker to log the specific settings that were changed when saving the General Settings page in the Admin.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the system from canceling previous subscriptions when a member upgraded to a paid plan in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that affected the ability to display Post Categories in the Brilliant Directories app on Zapier in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the system to always display the Enter Credit Card modal during a member upgrade, even when using a 100% off coupon code that does not require credit card information was applied on sites using Stripe as the payment gateway.

  • Updated the alert message when publishing or un-publishing paid posts when the Pay Per Post Add-On is active on a website.


  • Fixed an issue that affected the ability to export data from the Transaction History page in the Admin in some cases. 

  • Fixed an issue that caused the system to display inaccurate results when visiting an individual member’s /reviews page while the “Enable Search Results Cache” Post Type setting was active in some cases.

  • Updated the UI of the Search Business Data tab on the Business Data page in the Admin. 


  • Fixed an issue that prevented a few sites from connecting to the billing system in some rare cases.

  • Refactored and updated the Social Share Buttons widget on sidebars in the frontend.

  • Updated the “Support & Updates” section on the Admin Dashboard to improve compatibility with the Admin Whitelabel setting.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the system to display error messages when viewing forms in the Admin in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the "Report" button from working properly when replying to a private chat on the Member Dashboard. 

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Detect Visitor Location Add-On from working properly on the frontend of sites in some cases. 

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the system from loading the version history module options on Web Pages and Edit Post Settings pages in the Admin in some cases.


  • Released a security update to the Login page in the Admin. 

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the system from returning accurate results when searching an Event Post Type with a specific date range when the Auto-Recurring Event Add-On was not active on the website.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the system to inaccurately apply rate limiting to some Admin account login attempts, preventing them from logging in temporarily in some rare cases.

  • Implemented a performance update to the Member Profile Analytics Add-On tracking used on the frontend of sites. 

  • Fixed a Google Maps issue that affected the ability to add Ireland as a service area for members in the Member Dashboard. 

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Member Reviews page in the Admin area from loading properly if reviews contained certain special characters in some cases. 

  • Updated the image importing functionality for multi-image post types to respect the order of images imported for the posts.

  • The "Top - Sub" and "Top - Sub - Sub-Sub" Dynamic Category widgets are now compatible with the "Dynamic Category Filtering - Only Show categories which belong to the Top Category" Advanced Setting. 

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the system from displaying the “Add Post Type” button in the Member Dashboard when creating a new post if the “Limit Posts Per Member” Add-On had previously been active on the website in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the “Cancel Member Account on End of Billing Period” feature to allow members to select a cancellation date that had already passed in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that affected the ability to delete members using the bulk actions feature on the Search Members page in the Admin in some cases.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Add to Calendar widget UI from displaying properly on slim sidebars when the “Website Body Width” Design Setting was set to “Standard (Default)” in some cases.

  • Updated the Private Member Chat threads data table to assign a CSS class to each row based on its corresponding chat thread status.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the system from displaying the “Hero Section” on the homepage when recent post type widgets were used inside the “Custom Content 1” section in some cases.

  • Implemented an update to fix parsing errors in the website schema markup feature.


  • Fixed an issue that prevented the system from sending the Chat ID when triggering the “Chat Message Actions” webhook.

  • In all, over 50 feature enhancements and software updates were released this month.
