Google Website Translator
Overview
Growing and managing an international directory or membership website can be challenging… especially if the members and users speak different languages.
The Google Website Translator add-on will add a drop-down menu to the website, allowing users to select their language. Once selected, Google Translate will be used to translate the front-end of the website to the user’s selected language.
How To Get This Add-On
- Websites with the VIP Add-Ons Club automatically have this add-on available:

Enabling the Add-On
1. Settings » Design Settings » General » Header Design:
This tool will appear in the header:
To revert the site back to the original language, use the "Show Original" button that appears at the top of the web page:
** Google Translate won't show the default website language as an option in the drop-down because technically, there is no need to translate it since that's the main language of the website. **
Additional Functionality
The admin will be able to change the wording that displays instead of the usual "Select Language" by editing the text label select_language_option_google_translate:
By default it will be blank making the "Select Language" appear, once the new text is added it will replace it:
With this add-on it is also possible to limit the languages available that can be translated. To do this, follow the steps below.
