Is there a way to set admin moderation (accept/reject) reviews by default?

We have given some members (Premium level) the ability to accept/reject their reviews. The lower tier members won't have that ability, so instead we'll need to have admin control to accept/reject reviews on their behalf (for abuse, overly negative, etc).

Ideally, we never see the reviews for the Premium members, as it will be up to them to accept/reject, and we would only ever get the reviews for lower tier members so that we can handle that admin for them. Most will get immediately approved - but we can't have everything go directly to the site without eyes on it.

Thanks!

Yes, I thought the same thing about types of reviews that could potentially be harmful to your community members. For how the reviews are working right now, it should be exactly like you mentioned now. When a review gets automatically applied to a member, you will be able to see it in the Content -> Member Reviews.

Hi Sean, currently this setting is controlled through the Membership Level, on the Privileges section:

With this option Enabled, members will be able to accept and delete their reviews. If Disabled, the review will land automatically on their profile. Your idea here is for the admin to control this correct? if yes, then you would need a customization request in the Market Place that would do the following:

1. When member checks profile or a viewer checks a member profile, if Membership Level is set to a specific value, do not show Reviews that are not accepted.

2. First point will allow the admin to evaluate the review and also prevent the member from seeing the review and viewers from seeing the member review.

3. Admin will be able to accept and delete reviews without affecting the review process. It would of course need the membership level to have the Accept Reviews set to false.

We gave it some further thought, and for members that we've disabled the 'ability to accept and delete reviews', it would be okay if their reviews go up automatically...IF we can have some notice that a review was posted.

We're really just trying to avoid having someone post a review without at least being aware of it, so that we can check it for abuse or 'nonsense' if you know what I mean.

It would actually be okay if it went up and then we took it down shortly thereafter (if need be). But in order to do that we'd need some sort of notification about it at least being posted.

Does that make sense? Is it possible or doable?

Okay, so we'll just leave it as is and periodically check reviews to make sure there isn't anything nasty sitting on a member's listing, or at least not for very long.

Thanks for your help!
